Tabatha does not sell personal data, run analytics, show ads, or transmit your browsing data to Tabatha-operated servers.
Information Tabatha uses
To provide its tab-management features, Tabatha reads information Chrome makes available about your open tabs and tab groups, including titles, URLs, favicons, window and group placement, pinned or muted state, and last-accessed time.
Local data storage
Tabatha stores preferences, saved sessions, tab first-seen or creation timestamps, and one temporary undo snapshot in chrome.storage.local. This information stays within the extension's local Chrome storage on your device and is used only to provide Tabatha's features.
How the information is used
Tab data is used to display, search, sort, group, save, restore, close, merge, split, and undo tab-management actions that you request. Tabatha does not use this information for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or any purpose unrelated to its user-facing functionality.
Permissions
- Tabs and tab groups: display and organize the tabs and groups you manage.
- Storage: keep preferences, saved sessions, timing records, and undo information locally.
- Side panel: provide Tabatha's primary interface beside the current webpage.
- Favicon: display each open tab's site icon inside Tabatha without accessing page content.
Sharing and third parties
Tabatha does not share browsing information with third parties. The extension does not include advertising SDKs, analytics services, or external integrations.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Tabatha's use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Tabatha uses browsing activity only to provide the tab-management features visible to the user.
Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you remove them through Tabatha, they are no longer needed, or you uninstall the extension. Uninstalling Tabatha removes its local extension storage. Saved sessions can also be deleted within the extension.
Security
Tabatha minimizes data handling by keeping its operational data local. No method of software storage is guaranteed to be perfectly secure, but Tabatha avoids remote transmission of tab information.
Children's privacy
Tabatha is a general-purpose browser utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version and effective date will be published on this page.
