How can we help?

Quick answers for organizing tabs with Tabatha.

Getting started

  1. Install Tabatha and pin its toolbar icon.
  2. Select the icon to open the Chrome side panel.
  3. Use search, stale filtering, or sorting to narrow the list.
  4. Select tabs for bulk actions, or use controls on a window or group.

Common questions

Why doesn't a display sort change Chrome's tab strip?

Sorting updates Tabatha immediately. Use Apply on a window header when you also want to reorder that window's physical Chrome tabs.

What does “First seen” mean?

Chrome does not provide the original creation time for tabs that were already open when Tabatha first encountered them. Those tabs use the time Tabatha first saw them.

What counts as a stale tab?

A stale tab has not been accessed for at least your selected duration. Pinned tabs are excluded from stale results by default.

Where are saved sessions stored?

Saved sessions are kept in Chrome's local extension storage on your device. Tabatha does not send them to a remote service.

How do I reset the extension?

First reload Tabatha from chrome://extensions. To fully clear its local data, remove and reinstall the extension. Removing it also deletes locally saved sessions and preferences.
